Telford campsite

Another early start. Caught up with Ray and Cheese (Charles has a trail name) fairly quick. Cheese is a machine.  Last month he was walking the Apalacian Trail and this month here mounding away at the TA.

Cheese spent most of the day about 5-10 minutes ahead of us and hardly ever stopped.

Ray has also done the AT (I think.)  For the first half of the day he kept up with Cheese and the other half he dropped back with me.

Once we reached the camp site we parted ways though.  Cheese wanted to push on to the next hut.  The trail notes claim it's about 8 hours further on from here.  They'd have just enough time before sunset if the timing is right.

So, I'm camped at Telford campsite tonight. I'm a little sunburnt and quarantined due to massive numbers of sandflies but I have podcasts and the kindle and after 20km today I've come to the conclusion that I have the strength to this, I just need to work on the endurance.  The feet were quite sore by the time I got here.  Everything else though... No problems.

Distance today:
19km
