No rush today. Apart from a 1km climb (and decent) at the start of the day it was all road and all flat. That 1km was horizontal too, not vertical.
I've settled in at the Anakiwa Backpackers and Green Caravan Cafe. This place is really nice. The owners, Shayne and Tanya, have renovated their house and done a damned fine job of it.
I've checked out the pickup options from the other end of the Queen Charlotte also. It's looking like Beachcomber are going to be the best option. They offer a discount for those walking the Te Araroa also. The only catch is that ti's a regular trip and the boat leaves Ship Cove at 3.30pm So the current goal is to cover as much ground as possible in the next 2 days to get as close to Ship COve as I can for that last day.
It's feeling a little weird. The thought that I'll be stopping soon...
